The Winery
The winery is where we make our magic. It’s where our wine lives before you adopt it and bring it into your home. We grow several different varietals of grapes here at Rusty Tractor Vineyards for a combined ten acres under trellis. We have Cynthiana, Tempranillo, Chambourcin, Traminette, Valvin Muscat, Muscadine, Vignoles, Enchantment, and a couple of experimental varietals the University of Arkansas has developed over the years. We also have a limited planting of table grapes. Our vineyard manager carefully watches over the vines at every stage of their annual life cycle like a proud father. We also have wine aging in our tanks, being poked and prodded until perfected (our favorite part of the job). We bottle our wines annually to make sure there is room in the tanks for the upcoming vintage. After bottling ends, we begin picking the individual varietals as they become ready for harvest. Once they are picked the grapes are weighed, crushed and destemmed, and sent to a tank to ferment. When their fermentation is done we begin the aging process again. Here at Rusty Tractor Vineyards we look forward to giving you the best of the best with each and every harvest.
